Let us begin so to say with a custom questionnaire:
- Creation ex nihilo or from something?
- Is there any contingency on the scenes or not?
- Will we speak over the atheistic view, based on a close system of cause and effect that suppose there is nothing but science?
- Or do you agree with the worldview that there is anything out of that close system, but God?
- Are you a convinced creationist?
What your choice or world view may be, be sure, the right answer can be found!
Some scientists are convinced that the war is over and that science gained the final victory.Suppose for an instant that there are artists who are atheists. Does that mean that whole art is against God? Of course not! The same we can say about science. Despite there are scientists who claim their atheism, this does not mean that all science is against God, or that all scientists are militant atheists.
Take for example Mediaeval times in Europe (400-1500). In this period scientists believed in God. They had their theistic view of science based on one God as the ancient Hebrews did. The Hebrew view of God and thus their faith was a belief based on evidence. They believed that God was their Lawgiver. So they expected law in nature. Knowledge was at the foundation of their faith, thus their belief. But why is this noteworty?
Many world’s famous scientists of the past as Galileo, Kepler, Pascal, Boyle, Newton, Faraday (*) for mention some, became scientific because they believe in a Lawgiver, God. They expected to found law in nature. So their faith was not blind faith, but solid faith based on evidence, knowledge. They investigate the external world, to find proves, rational answers, and found that in a language that God transmitted to men through the pure language of mathematics. These researchers takes their inspiration from the order in the universe. (* Jerry A.Coyne, Faith Versus Fact, p. 1970)
Often we here expression that aged generations are less modern or primitive (*) or backwards, and so on. But what makes a human being “primitive” is their lack of civilization not the fact that they are aged —as if we became more intelligent since then, if anything. But what a lack of coherent and logic reasoning stands for, is only stupidity. The more, when there is who voluntarily choose to think in that manner despite there are enough elements for them to grasp to think in the opposite way and direction. (*Pastor Stephen Kyeyune, Shaping the Society, vol. 2, p. 79)
What to say if there are dozens of that kind of intellectuals and scientists mentioned above? Is that kind of worldview not unlogic and irrational? The Bible brilliantly says: “For his [God’s] invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish”. (Romans 1:20-22)
Genesis 1:1 opens with the theistic view of the universe that find clear expression in the opening words:”In the begining God created the heavens and the earth.” The universe as a creation, an artefact of the mind of God and not a close system of cause and effect. God is a Person beyond space and time (*), not made out of matter. He is the Unmoved Mover (#) the very First Cause (^) through which everything happens. (* Kenneth Boa, God I Don’t Understand, p. 158) (# Edward Grant, Planets, Stars, and Orbs, p. 515) (^ John Charles Whish, The First Cause, p. 7)
